Cidsin Bistro & Gin Bar is one of Scotland's finest dining destinations which is bold in flavour, warm in soul. Kaash was invited to design the light that would bring its interior to life. The brief was simple: make every guest feel something the moment they walk in.
The result is a richly layered lighting environment with sculptural chandeliers, intimate table warmth, dramatic bar presence and quiet decorative texture, all working together seamlessly to elevate every corner of the space. Guests linger longer. The atmosphere holds. The experience becomes the memory.

Some spaces are defined by their walls. Cidsin is defined by its light.
Above the dining room, sculptural branch chandeliers sprawl across a darkened ceiling — organic, unruly and breathtaking. They do not simply illuminate. They presence. Like light filtering through a Scottish forest at dusk, they cast warmth in a way that feels discovered rather than designed. The darkness around them is not empty — it is intentional, a canvas that makes every glowing point feel precious.
Below, golden recessed ceiling panels settle softly over each table. Warm, unhurried, generous. They define space without confining it — giving each table its own quiet world while the room breathes as one. Guests feel held without knowing why. That is the work.
Along the walls, honeycomb light features pulse with a low, steady warmth. Geometric in form, human in feeling. They add dimension and depth to surfaces that could so easily be forgotten, ensuring that wherever a guest’s eye travels, there is something considered waiting for them.
And then there is the bar. Here, light shifts register entirely. The back bar glows like an amber gallery — bottle after bottle illuminated from within, colours layered, glassware catching the light and scattering it gently across the room. It is theatrical without being loud. Dramatic without asking for attention. The kind of beauty that reveals itself slowly, over a second drink.
Throughout, a warm 2700K palette holds everything together — flattering, sensual, alive. The kind of light that makes food look extraordinary, makes people look their best and makes a room feel like the only place worth being.
