Translucent waves of special treated fabric, mounted on steel matrix to create inward outward parallel hoops of volume. Glowing with light from within like a beating heart to sing the glory of past.

A Heritage Reimagined
Nestled in Diddeleng, the Hall de Locomotives stands as a historic train yard reborn. This architectural gem blends heritage preservation with modern ingenuity. Once a symbol of industrial might, it now thrives as a lively brewery. Indeed, this shift serves as a testament to thoughtful redevelopment. For instance, visitors savor its charm over a chilled brew, immersed in a space where past and present seamlessly converge.
Illuminating Vision
In partnership with Christian Bauer Architects, our Kaash Light Engineers crafted a transformative experience. At the heart of this project lies a breathtaking 20m x 6m fabric sculpture. Its wave-like form, for example, comes alive through a dynamic lighting design. We carefully planned this installation to accentuate the fabric’s fluid motion. Meanwhile, DMX programmable LED systems orchestrate seamless color shifts, precise dimming, and evocative shadow play. As a result, the sculpture gains depth and vitality, enveloping the brewery in a captivating, multi-dimensional ambiance.
To perfect this vision, we conducted extensive lighting studies at the fabric’s source. Specifically, we explored its translucence and reflectance to ensure the illumination enhanced its organic beauty. Consequently, the smooth transition of hues bathes the space in a radiant glow, inspiring awe and tranquility in turn.
Sustainability in Design
Beyond aesthetics, sustainability drives our approach. For example, we integrated low-energy, high-output LED fixtures to deliver brilliance with minimal environmental impact. Moreover, intelligent controls allow the lighting to adapt effortlessly—shifting moods for events, seasons, or quiet evenings. Therefore, this balance of elegance and efficiency elevates the space while honoring its ecological footprint.
